Homa has taken a major step in its global growth journey with the groundbreaking of its first overseas manufacturing base in Chonburi, Thailand.
The ceremony, held on 28 September, gathered Homa’s top management alongside distinguished guests including leaders from Amata Corporation and our construction partner, to mark the start of construction for what will become one of Southeast Asia’s most advanced cooling manufacturing sites.
With an initial investment of RMB 680 million and a total planned investment exceeding RMB 1 billion, the nearly 200,000-square-metre facility will integrate refrigerator and freezer production, a components centre, offices and a showroom. Once operational in 2026, the site will increase Homa’s annual output by 3 million units and create over 3,300 jobs.
Today, Homa stands as the world’s largest refrigerator exporter, ranking fourth globally in total production. With 14,000 colleagues and now four production bases across China and Thailand, the company continues to evolve from Made in China to Made Smarter, Made Globally, delivering cooling solutions to over 130 countries and regions.
This milestone marks not just an expansion, but a promise — to build responsibly, innovate continuously, and collaborate with partners worldwide to shape a smarter, more sustainable future in cooling. Enjoy a full article about this new milestone here
